Class Island Student — Privacy Policy

Class Island Student lets a student open their teacher's Class Island — for quizzes, grades, attendance, tasks, learning modules and live lessons. It is a window onto the teacher's app. It keeps no account and sends nothing to Island Solutions.

1. Where your information goes

• Only to your teacher's Class Island. When you sign in with your LRN, answer a quiz or upload a task or photo, it goes straight to your teacher's phone or computer — over the classroom Wi-Fi, or through the online link your teacher shared. Your teacher and school are responsible for those records.
• Island Solutions never receives it. We run no server for this app and cannot see your records.

2. Finding your teacher

To list classes nearby, the app listens for and sends small "Class Island is here" messages on your current Wi-Fi, and checks addresses on that Wi-Fi for Class Island. This stays inside the local network. The app remembers the last few classes you joined, on your phone only.

3. Camera and files

The camera is used only when you scan your teacher's QR code or take a profile photo, and only after you allow it. Files you download from your class are saved to your phone's Downloads folder.

4. No ads, no tracking

There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking in this app, and nothing is sold or shared.

5. For parents and guardians

Students may be under 18. The app collects nothing for us; the records your child sees are kept by their teacher and school under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and DepEd policies. Questions about those records go to the school.

6. Not a government app

Class Island Student is an independent app by Island Solutions. It is not made or endorsed by the Department of Education.
